Our Story

King Flooring London is our family-run carpet and flooring shop, based in South Woodford.

Back in 2019, we set out to find the perfect shop to turn King Flooring into the family business we’d dreamed of for years. We spent a long time searching for the right location, but when Covid arrived, we put those plans on hold. Our son was born in 2020, and we took some time to enjoy family life before returning to our search. On 1st September 2022, we finally opened our doors in Hermon Hill, South Woodford.

In 2023, Carly took the leap and left her 16-year career in finance to focus on growing the business. With Chris’s years of experience in flooring and full house builds, and Carly’s eye for interiors, we bring together the practical knowledge and design guidance to help customers see the bigger picture. From flooring and paint colours to skirting boards and the character of a period home, we love helping everything come together.

We work with everyone from neighbours updating a single room to new-build developments and luxury homes across London. Our fitters have trained directly with Chris over many years and share our pride in getting the details right.

Being part of the local community means so much to us. This is where we’ve built our family business, and we want everyone who comes through our doors to feel welcome, listened to and well looked after.
